At the beginning of Spring, we carried out the refurbishment of one our key event spaces, the Edwards Room. The room has a maximum capacity of 150 (for a standing reception) and is popular for conferences, large meetings and sit-down dinners for up to 120 guests.
The last refurbishment of the room was in 2010, so we decided it was time for a new look! This is part of our continual commitment to maintaining the high standard of our facilities here at No.11, always with a goal to create the best possible event experience for every guest.
Below we look at just some of the changes made that will enhance the room both aesthetically and operationally for our existing and future clients...
We replaced the ceiling with a more modern, flat finish.
Installed new state of the art lighting (the room does however boast natural light from two sides).
Upgraded our audio-visual facilities, which now include a pull-down projector screen which is discreetly hidden in the ceiling. This adds further to the versatility of the room without affecting guest experience.
Incorporated a self-service cloakroom
Improved the access to the room, transforming the layout of the entrance entirely.
Another key feature of the refurbishment was that we have mirrored the décor and finishes to match the adjacent Maxwell Room. Originally the Edwards room was decorated in a completely unique style, however this matching look now creates synergy between the rooms, enabling them to be offered as a suite.
