A look back at 2016 at No.11 Cavendish Square
2016 has been a fabulous year here at No.11 Cavendish Square and before we start getting excited about all the great events we’ve got coming up in 2017, we thought it would be nice to look back at the highlights of the last 12 months.
We started off in January with the exciting announcement that Food By Dish was coming on board as our new in-house catering team. This partnership has been a resounding success with menu highlights including canapes like Smoked beef tenderloin, piquillo pepper and onion purée on toast and desserts including Hazelnut and ginger pudding - stem ginger ice-cream and vanilla crème Anglaise. We’re hugely looking forward to another year and another set of fantastic, seasonal menus from them. We’ve always prided ourselves on the high standard of the food and drink we treat our guests to, just take a look at our full menus as we’re sure you’ll agree.
Other great news we brought you at the start of the year was that our very own Commercial Director, Jonathan Morris, was elected to the position of Vice Chair on the MIA council. The industry body plays a really important role for both its members and all of their clients. All the staff at No.11 Cavendish Square feel proud to be represented at such a senior level within the association.
As well as new appointments, 2016 has seen two fabulous refurbishments at our historic, central London venue. The first is our stunning Courtyard Garden. Our favourite feature of our outdoor area has to be the amazing living wall - it never fails to impress our guests. Pampas grass, lavender and modern high tables and chairs have also made great additions to this contemporary space. The second refurb saw the Maxwell Room receive a complete cosmetic transformation and an AV upgrade (including an 84inch plasma screen). The suite, which seats 72 in a theatre style, is now a light and airy space with a truly modern feel and can now be hired out for intimate, special occasion meals.
As well as getting reflective, this time of year is also special at No.11 Cavendish Square for another reason - winter weddings. There’s something magical about tying the knot during the colder months and we’ve seen some amazing nuptials at our historic venue. If you’re considering holding your special day in the festive season, have a look at our round-up of special touches that will make your wedding truly memorable.
