Award Winning Caterer Searcys

February 11, 2020

We are delighted to announce Searcys has won the catering contract for No.11 Cavendish Square over the next 5 years.

Founded in 1847, Searcys is one of Britain’s longest-running hospitality companies. Their approach to hospitality is still guided by their founding principles of quality and innovation while focusing on providing modern, British and sustainable hospitality.

Searcys origins can be traced back to the vision of one man: Victorian entrepreneur and the Duke of Northumberland’s confectioner, John Searcy. He honed his skills catering at private parties for royalty and high society – and word soon spread of his talent. After 10 years serving the Duke, he set up his own hospitality company in 1847. Before long, he became the most sought-after caterer in the area, renowned for his artistry and attention to detail.

Using seasonal and high-quality produce, their chefs reimagine modern British dishes we all know and love. Over the past two years, Searcys has focused on creating 24 food and drink pledges. Their top Three Star Food Made Good rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association accreditation is a testament to how provenance and sustainability are both at the heart of the business.

By using the freshest, best-quality ingredients sourced responsibly from local suppliers, Searcys aims to create a better experience for customers, the community, and the environment.  Their commitments include:

Working closely with British farmers and producers to ensure that up to 90% of all seasonal fruit and vegetables used in the menus is grown in the UK.

Partnership with Drappier, the world’s first carbon-neutral Champagne house. Their vineyards are cultivated according to organic principles - ploughing by horse, use of natural fertilisers and the minimal use of sulphur.

To champion English sparkling wines, working closely with family-run Nyetimber in South Downs, Greyfriars in Surrey and Furleigh Estate in Dorset.

Partnership with vegan-certified Freedom Brewery, the only beer recommended by the Sustainable Restaurant Association.

Look out for the launch of our new and exciting Spring Summer Menus from April 1st
