Families celebrate Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs in a variety of ways and on a wide range of scales. Whatever vision you have for your son or daughter’s party, the spaces and venue staff at No.11 Cavendish Square can accommodate your needs.

Our spaces
If you are looking for a venue with several spaces in which to host a variety of entertainment, drinks, food and speeches, No.11 Cavendish Square has four spaces on its ground floor which can be used in any combination.

The Garden Room, in the Georgian part of the building, is a bright and airy space which retains lots of beautiful period features. It has, as one would expect, direct access to our outside area.

The Orangery is a large, glass-ceilinged room with a contemporary feel. This spacious room has a capacity of 120 for a sit-down meal and 250 for a drinks reception. The space links through to our stunning Courtyard Garden (with its intriguing living-wall and water feature) giving any gathering the perfect inside-outside amalgamation.

Also on the ground floor is the venue’s largest space, the Burdett Suite. It’s a modern, blank canvas space which can host up to 300 for a drinks reception and 200 for dinner.

Variety
All four of our ground floor spaces have a unique look and feel which means they lend themselves to a variety of functions. Our Burdett Suite’s neutral décor makes it a brilliant space for your Hora, where the lights and music can take centre stage. The Orangery needs very little dressing as its contemporary interiors and large swathes of glass panels and windows create an inspiring and relaxing place – perfect for drinks, dinner, toasts and prayers. The Garden Room and Courtyard Garden, being full of character and of a more intimate size, work really well as feature areas for your entertainment acts and party games for the children. Whatever your schedule of activities, our event staff will be able to help you host a seamless party.

Catering
Our chefs are well-practiced at preparing and serving delicious menus. However, if you have a Kosher caterer in mind you would rather use, you can speak to our Venue Team about organising a kitchen buy-out. Either way, you and your guests will be guaranteed fabulous food and drink, whether you go for a sit-down meal, buffet or canapés. We can also help you organise some fantastically fun food options your younger guests will love, like a candy floss machine, a cupcake station or an ice cream cart.

Special touches
We have helped host a number of Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations at No.11 Cavendish Square and wanted to share with you some of the little things we think have made these parties so special.

Party bags or favours – giving guests a little something to take away with them will make not only make everyone feel special, but it will also give them a keepsake by which to remember the party. A personalised candle for adults and a personalised cupcake for the kids always goes down well.

Photo booths – another way to help guests remember the event is to encourage them to take pictures of themselves in a booth. You can arrange to keep a set of each picture for yourself and your guests also get to take one away with them.

Games – to get everyone fully immersed in the celebration, consider involving the adults in the party games as well as the children.
