A Day to Remember

One of London’s historic west end townhouses and built in the 1760s, 11-14 Cavendish Square features a five-bay Palladian-style façade built from Portland Stone. Although just a two-minute walk from Oxford Circus and the hustle and bustle of London’s west end, once through the front door you are transported back in time with the splendour of the exquisite features – such as the wonderful central staircase topped with a decorative glass canopy bathed in natural daylight and a tranquil hidden courtyard encircled by a living wall.

What will happen on the day?

On the wedding day, guests start to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony. On a sunny day the courtyard is a perfect place for guests to gather before moving inside for vows to be exchanged.

For brides we offer one of the historic rooms in the town house, perfect to apply the final touches alongside bridesmaids before making their way downstairs for the ceremony. Couples can choose a ceremony time to suit them between 12.00pm and 4.00pm.  

The ceremony is then followed by a champagne and canape reception lasting around an hour and a half. . The reception usually takes place in the tranquil courtyard (weather permitting), as the living wall makes the perfect backdrop for individual and group photos. Many couples will then head over to Cavendish Square with their photographer to get the wedding parties’ photos.

Guests will then be called back inside to be seated for their three-course meal, followed by tea, coffee and petit fours and the cutting of the wedding cake, usually done prior to the first dance taking place. Later in the evening while guests are dancing to the dj/band’s music, we offer a selection of evening snacks to ensure guests have the energy to last until carriages at 1.00am.
