Event branding – how to do it well and why you should bother

Name of your event

Is there an opportunity for you to incorporate your company’s name into that of the event’s? Some of the biggest events in the world are named in conjunction with a sponsor and have subsequently helped re-shape that company’s entire brand.

Build-up marketing

Make sure your event hashtag contains your brand name and that any social media pages or handles you use also follow suit. It’s also a good idea that these are peppered through any of your marketing literature in an attempt to begin an unconscious affiliation between your event and your brand.

First impressions

Arriving at any venue for any event can be a bit daunting for your guests. They’ll be looking for prominent signage to ensure they are in the right place. As well as relieving your attendees of any anxiety, this is your first opportunity to remind them who you are and that they are at your event - so make the most of it.

If your room has blank walls, speak to your venue about projecting images onto the space. This is a much cheaper way to brand a room than with graphics, plus you can change the images as the day goes on. Flat screen, HD TVs are also a great way to display any company branding. A short speech from a company representative is a great way for your guests to put a face to your brand. All of the rooms at No.11 Cavendish Square have high-end AV facilities to enable glitch-free speeches for any occasion.  


Giving your guests something to take away as a reminder of the day is an effective way to get your brand into people’s homes and offices. The more memorable and long-lasting the gift, the better exposure your brand will get, so it’s worth putting some time and effort into the decision.
